Since 1999, Alpheus Media has been telling stories.

We're interested in people: specifically, their individual stories, and how human stories can explain and explore complicated issues.  We tell stories through TV shows, web sites, films, commercials, podcasts and motion graphics. Our stories can go from a book to a screen or the other way around.

In addition to the clients we serve, we also partner with digital agencies and marketing companies like Razorfish, RG/A, Weiden + Kennedy, Ogilvy Worldwide, SS+K New York, and a host of others, creating film and video content creation for the brands they represent. We travel the world from our headquarters in Austin, Texas.

We also make films broadcast by PBS, the Sundance Channel, Discovery Networks, and ESPN in the US; and countless networks in European and Asian markets. And we tell award-winning stories for clients and sponsors including Nike, PBS, Rooster Teeth, Whole Foods, the Redford Center at the Sundance Preserve, Movember, Athletes for Hope, Kashi, the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, the LIVESTRONG Foundation, Partners in Health, the United Way Worldwide, Nature Conservancy, Discovery Networks, UT System, and the Center for American History. You might have seen our stories on network and cable television, caught them at a movie theater or film festival, watched them online, or read about them in the New York Times. Our stories have won awards - Emmys, Hugos and Tellys to name just a few - and even earned us Knighthood status.

What we do:

We are equally at home on several kinds of projects:

1) We produce, write, film, and edit our own, original award-winning films and series.

2) We create content for clients

- projects such as company stories, commercials, PSAs, Web series, sponsored documentaries, graphics and podcasts.

3) We offer production for agencies, directors, producers, and film studios.

Our open and collaborative style of production makes collaborations easy and rewarding. We serve as an artistic haven for institutions, companies, agencies, producers and directors that need creative partners to help bring their vision to life.

In Greek mythology, the Alpheus River was said to run underground, connecting the world through secret tunnels. As the story evolved, it was believed that you could communicate with other places on the earth by putting messages into this river. Later, the word Alpheus was used by artists and poets to describe stories transmitted through underground channels.
